Girls to Women-Wellness Fair

Canter Middle School’s “Wellness Committee” would like to invite its young women and their mothers to attend the “Girls to Women-Workshop Day.”  The event will be held Saturday, May 30^th at Canter Middle School from 10 am until 1 pm.  Registration forms are coming home today!  We’d love to see you there!!!

High School Investigation Day!!!!

8^th grade students will get a taste of the high school experience when those students who will be attending Kenwood Academy participate in High School Investigation Day.  High School Investigation Day will take place Tuesday, May 27, 2009.  Students attending other high schools should have received information for High School Investigation Day!

Illinois Transportation Reimbursement

Illinois offers partial transportation reimbursements to parents who pay for transportation or transport their children to school.  The form for reimbursement is now available in the Canter Main Office.  This form is a log sheet and parents or guardians must come into the office to fill out the form.  The form cannot be sent home.  In addition, parents must provide their full social security number in order to receive monies.  The form is available now through June 30, 2009.  Please note the date has changed.

8^th Grade News and Information

The 8^th grade Luncheon and Awards Ceremony will take place on Friday, June 5, 2009.  This year’s luncheon will take place at the New Martinique located at 8200 S. Cicero Ave., Burbank, IL 60459.  The event will take place between the hours of 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.  Parents and family members are strongly encouraged to attend.  Tickets are $30 per person.

Graduation will be take place on Monday, June 8, 2009 at Kenwood Academy.  The graduation will begin promptly at 10 a.m.  However, students are required to report to Canter by 8:30 a.m. so that they may march in with their class.

The graduation fee deadline has been extended May 26, 2009.  The deadline to purchase luncheon tickets is Monday, June 1, 2009.
